How You Can Help

If you share our goal to support neighborhood sustainability through supporting and starting community gardens, then review this list of ways you can help.

1. Sign up for the SUN*LV Facebook page

   Have fun and participate in the discussions, blogs and events you see on the site.

2. Sign up for the SUN*LV mailing list. Especially if you are not on Facebook, then please join our mailing list at SUN*LV Mailing List. We'll help keep you connected to other community members and gardeners who may be able to assist you in your efforts.
3. Recommend a site for a community garden by contacting the appropriate officials in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton or Other neighborhoods. You can find information on some first steps to take, who to contact in your city and some potential locations through pages on the Start A Garden section of this site. Send us your ideas for a garden directly at info@SUNLV.org.
4. Encourage others to sign up for our social network, especially any current community gardeners in the Lehigh Valley, groups who are considering starting a garden or public officials who may be able to assist in our common efforts.
5. Join the American Community Gardening Association at http://www.communitygarden.org//. You have instant access to a thriving network of community gardeners across the country and get a load of valuable benefits including access to informative webinars on community gardening.
6. Talk to your church or organization about starting a garden.
7. Join our leadership team at SUN*LV. We are a small group that is trying to accomplish big things. As we chart our path going forward, we are looking to expand our circle to include interested volunteers and community groups who can help spread the word and share the work. 8. Find an existing garden that is accepting new gardeners. Check out our listings on the Lehigh Valley Gardens section of our site.
